  • What is "Direct Primary Care"?

    Direct Primary Care basically means the Primary Care Provider (PCP) you choose at a clinic utilizing EverMed DPC membership services will receive a monthly fee for the services offered with that primary care provider.

    *Your health insurance is not billed for these services.

     

  • Is this considered health insurance or a health insurance plan?

    Direct Primary Care is NOT insurance. It is NOT an insurance plan or agent, and it does not offer

    insurance plans. Direct Primary Care is a membership for primary care at the clinic of your choice within our network. Direct Primary Care works best when combined with a major medical plan.

     

  • Can I become a member if I have a pre-existing condition?

    Yes, DPC is open to everyone. DPC does not deny membership for age or pre-existing conditions.

     

  • Can I still join DPC if I have Medicare or Medicaid?

    Unfortunately, no not at this time.

     

  • I have health insurance. How does that work with DPC?

    DPC works best with a high deductible insurance plan. Your insurance plan may cover all the outside testing, referrals to specialists and hospitalizations that may be required outside of your membership with DPC.

     

  • What services are provided?

    Services vary slightly with each clinic. Please review the list of services each clinic offers within the EverMed network and choose the one the best fits your healthcare needs.

     

  • Will my office visit result in a fee?

    No, your membership covers all office visits. There is no copay when you come in for an office visit. *The only time you will pay a fee is if we provide and/or order a service not listed. Please check with your PCP for to see if a service may result in a fee. We often have negotiated prices for referrals and/or services not covered by your DPC membership.

     

  • Do I need to inform a staff member that I have a DPC membership?

    Yes, anytime you are seen we want to ensure that you are taken care of and receive the best possible care.

     

  • I need to go to the hospital. Will my membership cover hospital visits and/or emergency room visits?

    Your Direct Primary Care membership does not cover these visits. We recommend you have an insurance plan in place to cover these major medical expenses.

     

  • Will my membership cover me if I am admitted to the hospital?

    No, memberships only cover services offered/listed with your primary clinic within the EverMed network. *Services and/or referrals not covered under your DPC membership may have a discounted cash price. Please check with your PCP to see a list of these services and/or referral specialist cash prices.

     

  • Is my membership tax deductible?

     Unfortunately, no. Your monthly membership is not considered a medical expense in most states and is not deductible.

     

  • Will my membership cover a referral to a specialist?

    No, memberships only cover services offered/listed with your primary clinic within the EverMed network. *Services and/or referrals not covered under your DPC membership may have a discounted cash price. Please check with your PCP to see a list of these services and/or referral specialist cash prices.

     

  • Will my medical information be shared with insurance carriers or pharmaceutical companies?

    No, we never share your information with outside parties unless you, the patient, request information be shared.

     

  • Do you perform sports physicals?

    Yes! We are happy to offer sports physicals and fill out appropriate forms as needed.

     

  • Are immunizations included in my membership?

    Each clinic within the EverMed network has a list of covered immunizations. Please review this and all covered services at each clinic to choose the services that best fit your healthcare needs.

     

  • Do you see children?

    Yes, DPC is open to people of any age.

     

  • Can each family member see a different provider at the DCP office I enroll with?

     Yes, we want all family members to feel comfortable and trust their PCP.

  • I'm an employer. How do I enroll employee's mid-end month to ensure they are active?

    Employers have 2 options:

    1. Employers can log onto their account via the link received upon registration and view employee’s active under their membership. Employers can add, edit and remove members (employee’s) from their own account.

    2. Employers can contact Care@EverMedDPC.com or call: 1.800.377.6099 and request an up-to-date employee roster as well as make changes to their employee’s/dependents. A membership change notification will be sent via fax or secure email to reflect any changes made.
